Terms of Sales

CANCELLATION POLICY 

 Low, medium and High Seasons:

  1. a) No penalty for cancellations received more than 30 days prior to arrival.
  2. b) A penalty equivalent of 50% contractual room rate will be applied for cancellations received between 30 to 15 days prior to arrival.
  3. c) A penalty equivalent of 100% contractual room rate will be applied for cancellations received within 15 days prior to arrival.
  4. d) A penalty equivalent to 100% of the total cost of stay will be applied in case of No Show.
  5. e) A penalty equivalent to 100% of the total cost of stay will be applied in case of “Cut Short” of stay.

Christmas & New Year:

  1. a) No penalty for cancellations received more than 45 days prior to arrival.
  2. b) A penalty equivalent to 50% of the total cost of stay will be applied for cancellations received between 45 to 21 days prior to arrival.
  3. a) A penalty equivalent to 100% of the total cost of stay will be applied for cancellations received within 20 days prior to arrival.
  4. b) A penalty equivalent to 100% of the total cost of stay will be applied in case of No Show.

CHECK IN & CHECK OUT

  1. a) Check in time will be at 2 p.m. and check out time at 12 a.m.
  2. b) Charges for guaranteed early check in before 10 a.m.: previous night at contracted rate to be prepaid to the agent within the package deal.
  3. c) Charges for guaranteed late check-out, until 6 p.m.: 50% of contracted rate to be prepaid to the agent within the package deal
  4. d) Charges for guaranteed late check-out, after 6 p.m.: 100% of contracted rate to be prepaid to the agent within the package deal

FORCE MAJEURE

The Hotel accepts no responsibility whatsoever in case of failure on its part to execute either partially or wholly its obligations in an event of force majeure which shall include not limited to governmental restraints, bad weather, cyclone, strike or any other causes which could not be expected or avoided and which were beyond the control of the hotel.

GUESTS’ COMPLAINT

Any guest’s complaint will only be considered if it has been notified to the Hotel management immediately during the guest’s stay. Any compensation in respect of a valid complaint will be made to the guest prior to the latter’s departure.

 

  • CONFIRMATION OF BOOKINGS: DEPENDING ON ROOM AVAILABILITY.

A bank transfer of 100% of the total amount of stay should reach The Mauritius Commercial Bank Ltd in Rodrigues upon confirmation. Send a copy of receipt by fax to Cotton Bay Hotel. All commissions to bank will be at your own charged. Fax number 00 230 8318 030.
